Dear Expectant Mother
First, I want to thank you for taking the time to read this letter. From the moment I began the adoption process, I have been praying for you, and will continue to do so. The decision to make an adoption plan for your child takes incredible strength, bravery, and selflessness. My respect for you truly cannot be put into words.
My name is Amanda and I am 33 years old. I have been a hairdresser for 13 years, and was able to open my own salon last year. I have 2 dogs and one rabbit who live with me in my home in middle Tennessee. I have wanted to adopt for as long as I can remember. I believe that the Lords timing is perfect, and I truly believe he has lead me to this moment.
I have an amazing nephew who lived with me for 7 years. We spend a lot of time together going on short hikes, playing at the jump park, the beach, the movies, and on my grandfathers boat. Playing a part in raising him has been the biggest honor of my life, and further solidified my desire to be a mother.
I have been blessed by lifelong friendships with people who love me like family. I also attend a wonderful church with a community of people who have walked through so many phases of life with me. They are just as thrilled as I am to welcome a child into our family.
It is important to me that a child be raised knowing and learning about the love of Jesus as our savior. I plan to also make sure that Christian values are also incorporated in my child’s education by sending them to the local Christian private school. They will be encouraged and supported to take part in whatever sports or activities interest them.
My desire is for my adopted child to always know their story. We will always honor and celebrate the incredible sacrifice you made. I cannot begin to imagine what a difficult decision this must be. I will continue to pray for you on this journey. Thank you for considering me.
Amanda
