Turner
CHD (in the file down syndrome is stated but orphanage claims they feel a mistaken diagnosis from when the baby was dropped off at a very young age)

Turner is a beautiful little boy with a heart warming smile! Here is summary of the update we just received for him

 

Turner has been a healthy little guy that lives with a local foster family. He is reported to be mildly delayed and at 2 year old level developmentally.  Turner’s motor skills are good.  He can walk, go up and down stairs, and is working on running steadily. He has normal hand function and can grasp objects. His speech however is slightly delayed but he can say a couple two character words, though not very clearly. Tuner can understand instructions and follow them.  His favorite thing to do is to call out for his foster mom so that he can receive a big hug from her. He just loves it! He is potty trained and can go to bathroom by himself.  This future student will go to kindergarten in September!   He is very attached to his foster parents and he loves to play with other children.  He loves to ride his bike and play games with other children.  Oh my, what a precious boy!

Banks

Little Banks is a charmer. He looks at people intently when they talk to him. He is described as “lovely” and a boy everyone loves!  Banks is an animated child with a array of facial expressions.  He sounds like such a fun little guy who lives in a wonderful foster home where the children seem to be thriving. The foster home states he is doing very well.

 

Here is a summary of his recent update.

 

In January and March 2016, he finished his foot surgeries, the doctor said the surgeries went well.   Banks can stand when he holds the wall or the fence or when you put your hands under his arms.  He can also walk for a short distance.  Although he has a language delay, he has recently started to try to imitate more words.  Banks is currently using simple words such as the other kids names, his name, auntie, car and eat.   He can understand and follow simple instructions and nods his head for yes or no to questions.

Evan
Hemophelia

Evan, what a handsome little boy with such a bright contagious smile! He is an active boy that can run and play.  Evan has good communication skills and no doubt has much to share with his future family! The video of him playing in the playground is precious. Clara

Linlee
postoperative repair of congenital heart disease

Linlee is a 3 year old little beauty that has already had one heart surgery without a family. We hope in the near future she will have a family to help her and love her as she grows and develops. When she runs and climbs stairs she does show some mild cyanosis. What a blessing a family would be so that she can receive get the best care possible.  Linlee can speak in sentences and sing children’s songs. Zeke
postoperative CHD; postoperative biliary atresia ? (the diagnosis recently changed to abdominal probe surgery as they can not find any evidence of biliary atresia.)

Zeke is such a cute little guy! At 10 months old he was described as a lovely stocky boy. He could roll over, lay on his stomach with his head held high and sit with help watching and grabbing for toys. He also liked babbling to music.  It sounds like little Zeke is in tune with other people’s emotions. When he is criticized, he will cry, when he is teased he will laugh.  What a fun little guy!  Zeke loves his caretakers and enjoys trips to the garden.  What a precious little boy that is ready to come home!  Please email andrea@smallworldadoption to learn more about this wonderful boy.

 

 

Simon
Cleft lip and palate

Simon is such a handsome 8 year old boy with a bright future! He has a repaired cleft lip and palate. In spite of his special need, his speech is said to be very clear. He is very close to the children in his SWI and is said to get along well with all the children. Simon also has good relationships with his teachers and classmates in school. He is very outgoing and smart. Like many boys his age, he enjoys race cars and sports! Simon attends public school with children that have families. Amelia

Amelia is a cute 11 year old girl. She has such a sweet smile in her videos. She is very attached to her caregivers and loves playing with children her same age along with caring for younger children. Amelia is shy, quiet, polite and very obedient. She loves to sing and dance!  Amelia expresses herself well and is kind to her teachers.  This terrific tween sounds like a gem.  She certainly deserves a family of her own and a mommy to nurture her into her teen years! Troup is a 9 year old boy with post op cleft lip and palate. One of our facilitators met him and liked him very much. The staff at the orphanage is very fond of him. Henry is a precious little four year old. Watching his video would make any momma want to scoop him up and cuddle him in their arms. Henry is said to have normal mental development. He is almost potty trained. This darling boy is described as shy, timid, sweet and obedient.   He is receiving speech therapy to be encouraged to speak more. Gunter is a 13 year old boy that loves to learn, ask questions and is very athletic. He is said to have very good eye hand coordination and was awarded a special prize for his football skills. Gunter enjoys reading detective stories and putting together models. He has a close relationship with his peers and is said to be generous and friendly. Gianna is a 10-year-old sunshine girl. She brings life to the stage in her precious video. Her special need relates to her foot but this is not highly evident in the video. She is in 3rd grade. Gianna is said to have normal mental development and goes to a typical school with children that have families. She gets along well with everyone. Gianna is an active girl that enjoys jumping rope, drawing and dancing. Little Sammie has an endearing video. She knows her body parts and is interacting well with her caregiver. When given a biscuit in the video she chooses to share with a friend.  What a generous girl!  Sammie seems to have a sweet personality. Daisy

This little cutie looks to have such a sweet disposition. She is said the get along well with others. Her video shows her intently and gently dressing her baby doll. Daisy is “quick minded” and enjoys music. What a precious little girl that would certainly thrive in a loving home. Update Jan 2017
She had a surgery to repair her cleft lip already, but her cleft palate has not been repaired yet. She studies(pre-school) in the welfare center.  Daisy can sing ,dance, draw, string beads and enjoys dressing her dolls.  Her video of her dressing her doll is so sweet and tender! Her upper limbs are flexible, she can walk and run, but not very steadily. She is active and gets along well with other kids, and often helps younger kids.

 

Caprice
Listed as “healthy” but appears to have a social delay

Caprice is a 2 year old pretty little girl. The orphanage said although she does give eye contact, she does not interact with others very much and does not have much facial expression. Emma Rose
Cerebral Palsy (affecting the lower limbs)
Female, 6 year old

Emma Rose is a 6 year old little girl that is very loved by her orphanage staff. The director of adoption specifically asked us to advocate for her because she is so fond of her. She said she is so pretty and smart. She has CP which seemingly affects only her lower limbs. Emma Rose is in a wheelchair but is receiving rehab training and we have video of her walking with a walker.  She needs a family to cheer her on with all of her accomplishments now and in the future! Jet is a handsome 4-year-old boy that has CHD. He has had surgery. Beatrice

Beatrice is a very beautiful 4-year-old girl with an infectious smile and amazing dimples! She is smart and lovely. Because of her clubfeet and spina bifida she does not appear to be walking. Update: June 15, 2017 We recently had a guide visit Beatrice at the orphanage. They were so charmed by her and want so badly for her to be adopted.  They said she is amazing!  We have been told she is doing very well. She is not able to walk but she is continent and can crawl to the bathroom by herself.  Bless her! The best part is, she has a smile on her face at all times!  What a tiny treasure!
